Matthew McGovern Joins GRS Group
Commercial Real Estate Veteran Brings 20 Years Experience to Rapidly Expanding Transaction Services Firm

Los Angeles, Calif., – July 1, 2014 – GRS Group, a global provider of commercial real estate Assessment, Title, and Financial Advisory services, announced today that industry veteran Matthew McGovern has joined its national leadership team.
McGovern, based in New York City, is a seasoned veteran with over 20 years experience in assessment and technical due diligence. He will be joining two other members of GRS Group’s national leadership team based in New York—Mark Halloran and Sahar Ghavami, both directors at GRS | Corteq.
Prior to joining GRS Group, Mr. McGovern spent nine years at Nova Consulting Group, where he was a senior vice president of the capital markets group. Before that, he was a vice president at LandAmerica Commercial Services.
Mr. McGovern is well known in CMBS circles and was part of the team that founded National Assessment Corporation (NAC) in 1996. NAC was a national leader in real estate environmental and engineering due diligence prior to its acquisition by LandAmerica Financial Group in 2002.

Matthew McGovern received his BME in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University. For a period of time Matt will be on garden leave from GRS | Corteq, the group’s assessment company. During garden leave Matt will be cross training in the executive management training program at GRS Group’s national title agency (GRS | Title) and their financial advisory company (GRS | Centaur).
