GRS | Corteq recently completed Construction Risk Management on Chicago’s City Hyde Park.  The City Hyde Park development is a 14-story, 500,000 square foot mixed-use tower located at a busy commercial intersection near Lake Michigan and adjacent to a commuter rail stop in the heart of one of Chicago’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Retail tenant, Whole Foods, anchors the 180-unit development.  The project also features underground parking and a 7,700 square foot green roof.

This Jeanne Gang, Studio Gang-designed development is the first new multi-family building to be constructed in Hyde Park for in over 25 years. The building’s concrete panel structure pirouettes from one floor to the next resulting in a vertical array of bays, balconies, and sunshades that frame dynamic interior and exterior spaces.

GRS | Corteq’s services included Pre-Construction Cost Analysis and Construction Progress Monitoring through the ground up development for lender, BMO Harris Bank.  GRS | Corteq Director, Julie Sorensen, spearheaded the services package.
